Domains
Describing the domains within MITC and competency levels.
Domains:
(1) Television: covering TV Studios, and integration of facilities and links.
(2) Operations: covering operational practices e.g. outside broadcasts.
(3) Film: covering film camera formats and digital post production
(4) Transmission: covering TV, Radio and Satellite transmitters.
(5) Radio: covering radio broadcasting both analogue and digital.
(6) New Media: covering webcasting, IT practices, IPTV.
Levels:
Candidates must pass the relevant assessment test before graduating
to the next Competency Level.
(1) Associate Practioner: entry level for candidates having up to 3 years experience and progressing through a Certificate Course up to Level IV or a relevant degree course
(2) Practitioner: level for junior staff having 4 to 10 years experience and having completed a Degree or Certificate Course
(3) Senior Practitioner: level for senior staff having 10 to 20 years experience and suitable additions to basic qualifications
(4) Master Practitioner: level for very senior staff who are running organisations, designing facilites and supervising policy frameworks
